Happy Thursday! Only one more day til Friday and then the weekend! Usually I use the weekend to rest from a stressful workweek or go on mini adventures with Cam. However, this past weekend I decided to have some "me" time, which at times can be a rarity with all the demands in life. I used this "me" time to run some errands, stop by a few open houses, and of course do a little shopping. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a discount shopper, but the one store I frequent when I'm on the hunt for a specific item is Nordstrom. After my Nordstrom internship during college, I became an avid Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack shopper. On this particular Saturday, I was on the hunt for these Ray Ban Aviators - definitely a splurge item, but I've been dreaming of them since last summer and the IRS helped this girl out. Of course, I had to look around while I was there and ended up finding two fantastic items. I know it's going to stay cool in Beantown for quite some time and our office building is always freezing, so these cozy tops were necessary. In college I purchased a gray cashmere v-neck sweater by Joe Fresh and wore it to death. I know cashmere is a luxury item, but because it's so delicate and I wear it so often...I hate to splurge on these pieces. I found a replacement gray cashmere sweater by Halogen. They are totally sold out of this sweater online, but here is a similar one at Nordstrom, and I definitely recommend stopping by your local store and browsing the clearance rack! I also found this adorable Pineapple Print Sweatshirt by Ace Delivery, which is currently on sale for $40 (orig. $68). You can't really tell, but the fabric is a fun confetti texture with all sorts of neon colors. For now, I'm pairing it with distressed jeans- a perfect weekend look. However, I know this sweatshirt will be on repeat this summer when I can pair it with distressed jean shorts and leather sandals. It was a great day and I just might have stopped by Nordstrom Rack as well....but I'll save those finds for another day!
