I've been playing stylist for my mother since I was 5. I remember trying to make her try on my dress-up clothes and then lying on the floor, shifting through her mesmerizing jewelry box and selecting her adornments for the day. Around 16 years old, I started actually being helpful and became her personal shopper. Over the years, I slowly helped her select and purchase all the pieces in this outfit- the red beads for a Christmas outfit, the Chloe Small Marcie Crossbody... I taught her not to be afraid of color, costume jewelry, and non-black handbags. The other day, I realized she doesn't need my help anymore. She styled this cute Fourth of July outfit all by herself and killed it! Love you mommy! xoxo!
